Kale Smoothies taste better than you think

This post is inspired by Man Repeller's Guide to the best smoothie in NYC. Although I haven't had a taste of New York or its smoothies, I've been in my kitchen and I love making juices and smoothies at home. Sometimes I even manage to take them to work in my Oggi tumbler, which I can only recommend since buying smoothies is an expensive habit. Because you can't really be healthy unless you share images on instagram, tumblr or your blog, here the photo evidence of my healthy way of life and the recipe:

You will need: 
1 large banana
1 kale leaf, sans stem
2 table spoons oats
1 cup of your choice of milk
1 teaspoon spirulina
1 teaspoon of honey 
Blend everything until smooth. Optional: add chia seeds you've soaked in water overnight too make the smoothie more filling. I use bananas in almost every smoothie I make, as the act as a sweet base, especially when making a green smoothie. If you want your smoothie to replace a traditional breakfast just add oats. I have trouble eating or drinking things I don't like so adding honey or fruit is the easiest way to make healthy yummy, too.
