Aurelia Bode- model, cat lover, people enthusiast

Personally, I believe that whatever you put into something is what you get back from it- whether it is work, art or a relationship, so I always try to do my best. I really want to be more positive and achieve more this year, which is one of the reasons I wanted to launch ‘we bode’. I love people, especially ones that try to be creative and I believe in fairness. Just because someone is deemed important, their opinion is not neccessary more valid than anybody else’s.

When I started modelling i had very low expectations, and whenever someone asks me how I got so successful, I laugh- I used to work three jobs in London and I still haven’t completely figured out what I want to do with my life.

Moving in London was one of the best, but also hardest things I’ve ever done. When I moved there I hardly knew anybody and I’d spend my days off at galleries and museums, especially the National Portrait Gallery. My Welcome-back-to-Melbourne present was ‘Water Serpents II’ by Gustav Klimt on Canvas- it’s the centrepiece of the bedroom now. I love when fashion and other art forms meet- like in Valentino Haute Couture S/S 14 where Opera and the most amazing gowns fuse into, in my opinion, the best collection ever. Fashion critics always claim that Valentino is the same season after season, but to me Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli are the perfect duo.
I have been asked how to describe my style a number of times and find it very hard to pinpoint. Sometimes it’s bohemian, sometimes it’s a bit more ‘street’ but mostly I wear comfortable clothes. An art student once told me that I dress like someone who could be in her class- i think that sums it up perfectly.
