From age 7 to age 14, my schoolbag was adorned with pins, badges and had various soft toys attached to its zippers. Some children in my class had bags so heavily decorated that each of them was, practically not only a piece of art, but also said a lot about its owner. Although I was never aware of this being a trend at the time, it undeniably has made a come-back on Milan's streets. You thought a lightning-shaped clutch was enough- but what you really need is a Karl-doll attached to a clutch, attached to a slogan covered bag attached to your jewellery-clad hand. Voilà!
