You can quickly discover what kind of person someone is by looking at their book collection. The autobiographies, novels, thrillers or picture books- or lack thereof- often give you an insight to their interests and hobbies. It is no surprise to find Alexa Chung's IT, Charlotte Seeling's Fashion and books on Coco Chanel, Louis Vuitton or Yves Saint Laurent on a fashionista's bookshelf, coffee table or instagram. The Parisian woman is an often imitated, idolised and much discussed subject- getting an insight to her (bad) habits and her attitude is something we've all secretly wanted to do. Naturally no book or film can teach you how to really be Parisian. But, as one of my favourite quotes from the book puts it:
