3 fashion films to watch this weekend

The fashion industry is one of the biggest industries in the world we live in- even if you don't consider yourself a fashionista, you have to put up with wearing some kind of clothing. From haute couture to ready-to-wear, from flea markets to department stores, from designers, pattern makers and magazine editors to models, bloggers and consumers- everyone wants to be part of what's on trend. So here three films to watch if you want to enrich your knowledge on what's going on behind the scenes in the fashion industry.

Muse: Iris Apfel

Iris Apfel is one of the fashionable ladies snapped regularly by Ari Seth Cohen on his blog Advanced Style- she is also a curator, interior designer, fashion icon, and does a program at the University of Texas. She is one of the many women I look up to- entrepreneurial, unique, fashion forward and not afraid to voice her opinion and wear what she loves. Iris Apfel is effervescent, flamboyant and accessories like no one else. I hope to be exactly like her when I reach 93.
Filmmaker Albert Maysles has captured the style icon in a documentary named 'Iris' which will debut on May 1 in selected cinemas. Watch the trailer here .
